Planting Natives Day   Wednesday,  APR  13, 2022
PUTAH CREEK COUNCIL —  Lake Solano County Park
Join us for one of our last planting days of the season at Lake Solano Park’s Native Plant Garden near the Nature Center. Volunteers will be installing plants, weeding, and mulching. The Native Plant Garden at Lake Solano Park is a almost entirely cared for by Putah Creek Council volunteers and OneCreek Restoration technicians. The garden has plenty of non-native invasive weeds in it and so volunteers will be needed to hand pull invasives, plant into the garden and surrounding planters, and lay down mulch to help with weed abatement and water retention. Volunteers should park on the Day Use side of the park and cross Pleasants Valley Rd to meet at the Nature Center on the west side of Pleasants Valley Road. For more information or to register, visit us online.
Location:
     8685 Pleasants Valley Road

DIRECTIONS: Lake Solano Park straddles Pleasants Valley Road, north of Vacaville, near the town of Winters. Parking is on the east side of the road.
